Draka Industrial Division develops, produces and markets flexible, rubber-insulated cables to standard or harmonized designs as well as special flexible cables for power and medium-voltage applications

Wind turbines, opencast and underground mining, magnetic levitation trains and high-speed trains as well as cables for the offshore, subsea and wind farm markets – a high-tech world requires the latest in flexible cable technology. We develop, manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of cable products designed to meet the requirements of these industries in all parts of the world. We have supplied our products to the world’s major oil companies, shipowners, engineering companies, shipyards, wind turbine manufacturers, amongst others for up to 30 years. We are actively supporting our clients in the development and supply of safe and reliable cable solutions.
Draka is one of the leading suppliers of special mining and industrial flexibles. For instance, 30kV trailing cables secure the power supply to heavy plant, such as excavators and stackers in opencast lignite mines. Steel-wire-armoured coal cutter cables also make a vital contribution to electrification and mechanisation in underground mining. And special rubber cables from Draka are in use in the automation and robotics industry and the process industry, in container terminals and for seaport and industrial cranes and on offshore platforms and construction sites worldwide. Our cables are also used on transit systems, railroad networks and rail vehicles for monitoring, signalling and power transmission.
