Liquidity provider
In November 2001, the trading system of the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange
was changed. Under this, the position of market maker disappeared. In its place,
the position of liquidity provider was introduced.
A liquidity provider aims to ensure a company’s continuous listing and, among
other things, makes sure that bid and offer prices are always included in the
trading system. Draka has appointed two liquidity providers, Royal Bank of
Scotland Group and Rabo Securities N.V., to ensure orderly and increasing trade
in its shares.
